Renaissance General Restoration Contracting, Inc., a privately-owned, family-run corporation has proudly served the San Joaquin Valley, and Central California for almost 3 decades

Founded by Don Dufer in 1994, the company’s first office was a small construction trailer in a dirt lot in the Pinedale community of Fresno, California. With Mr. Dufer’s construction expertise and a small team of committed, and talented employees the company quickly grew while maintaining a steadfast commitment to professionalism, expertise, quality workmanship, and client delight.

After starting as a summer laborer at Renaissance in 1996, while in High School, Jon Dufer rose through the ranks, and in 2017 moved into the CEO role. Jon has been key in driving significant year-over-year corporate growth through the implementation of systems, processes, technologies, and state-of-the-art facilities while expanding, and strengthening critical business relationships.

Now, 26+ years later, and having grown to 70+ employees, Renaissance is one of the largest privately-owned restoration companies in the United States. A number of individuals from the original team still play vital roles at Renaissance. The commitment Mr. Dufer made in 1994 to project quality, and client delight has never wavered.

Specializing in property restoration Renaissance has completed thousand’s of residential, and commercial building restoration projects following fire, smoke, water, or other disasters. With unparalleled expertise, and experience, the Renaissance team serves as subject matter experts to private, public, and government entities, and have been called upon to respond to some of California’s largest catastrophes.

Our customers and clients include individual property owners, Homeowners Associations (HOAs), Property Management companies, real estate partnerships, insurance companies, fire departments, law enforcement, city and county agencies, third-party administrators (TPAs), independent adjusters, and others.
